The Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ are two of the most exciting sports cars of recent day. With their aggressive styling, rear-wheel drive and the 2.0-liter boxer engine delivering 200HP, but the stock exhaust sounds like half that. Flowmaster has the answer to make the car sound like it performs, with our American Thunder stainless steel cat-back exhaust featuring a direct bolt-on 2.50-inch mandrel-bent inlet pipe flowing into the 80 Series Cross-flow performance muffler. The system provides dual 2.50-inch tailpipes that end with large double wall 4.00-inch polished stainless tips exiting out the factory cutouts. As an American Thunder system, it delivers a deep, aggressive performance tone outside with a moderate interior sound that most any enthusiast will enjoy, along with the performance gains you demand from Flowmaster. (engine cycle analysis) equipment and also SuperFlow chassis dyno's. Through use of these dyno's, Flowmasters engineering staff can track the complete engine cycle in millionths of a second and can obtain exact technical data of each degree of cam rotation, from induction to the tip of the exhaust system, while also showing the power numbers that really matter, the power numbers to the ground. Flowmaster also utilizes Spectrum Analyzers to fine tune the sound of each of the eleven different series of mufflers that Flowmaster currently offers, both for peak performance and just the right sound levels and tones.
