Lucas Oil Semi-Synthetic Assembly Lube is an initial lubricant for metal parts during assembly and installation. It is intended for application to critical engine and equipment surfaces before startup to help prevent wear while normal oil supply is established.

Its formula clings to surfaces, mixes with oil, and is designed for use on bearings, cams, lifters, valve-train components, and threaded fasteners. Lucas states it contains zinc, moly, and other high-pressure additives; it also helps resist seizing, galling, scuffing, and corrosion during break-in or storage.
