It uses paraffinic base oils and an additive package with high levels of zinc, molybdenum, and phosphorus to provide a tougher, thicker protective film under severe operating conditions.

Lucas states that this oil has good cold-temperature properties, stands up to high operating temperatures, and is compatible with methanol, racing fuels, synthetic oils, and non-synthetic oils. It is recommended for muscle, showroom, classic, and trophy cars without catalytic converters; Lucas states it is not recommended for passenger-car use.
